A simple, easy way to connect your KENWOOD RADIO to other devices!
The VE2DX Electronics KIB1 is a straightforward, easy-to-use break-out box for KENWOOD radios. Thanks to DIN13 connections, your KENWOOD RADIO ACCESSORY port is in the back of your radio, and eight 3.5mm mono connectors allow you to connect your devices.
WHY?
Simple: trying to make a DIN13 is a radio killer! The pins are so tight that they are challenging to make, and if you are not careful, you can easily blow your radio in smoke.
I KNOW; I did it!
With our KIB1, you don't have to worry about that; they are premade, and we offer good-quality preassembled cables for your radios. The connections to your devices are made simply using 3.5mm (1/8th) cables.
Will it work on my older radio?
The VE2DX Electronics KIB1 is made for radios with DIN13 ACC1 connectors in the back.
It will work on radios as old as the TS-450 and TS-690 to the TS-570, TS-890, and TS-990, as long as they have the DIN 13-pin accessory in the back.
What features do you offer?
The VE2DX Electronics KIB1 as;
- DIN13 radio ACCESSORY connections.
- Eight separate 3.5mm (1/8th) mono jacks for eight different signals from the radio (Note 1).
- ALL Signals and Grounds on the VE2DX Electronics KIB1 are RFI-Filtered.
- ALL VE2DX Electronics designed PCBs are always fully shielded on both sides.
Note 1: Older RADIOS may not offer all signals. Please refer to your user manual to confirm what signals will be available.
