A simple, easy way to connect your ICOM RADIO to other devices!
The VE2DX Electronics IAB3-Dual is a straightforward, easy-to-use break-out box for ICOM radios. Thanks to both DIN8 and DIN13 connections, your ICOM RADIO ACC1 port is in the back of your radio, and eight 3.5mm mono connectors allow you to connect your devices.
WHY?
Simple: trying to make a DIN8 or DIN13 is a radio killer! The pins are so tight that they are challenging to make, but if you are not careful, you can easily blow your radio in smoke.

With our IAB3-Dual, you don't have to worry about that; they are premade, and we offer good-quality preassembled cables for your radios. The connections to your devices are made simply using 3.5mm (1/8th) cables.
Will it work on my older radio?
The VE2DX Electronics IAB3-Dual is made for radios with DIN8 or DIN13 ACC1 connectors in the back.
It will work on radios as old as the IC-735 to the 7300, 7610, and 9700, as long as they have the ACC1 in the back.
What features do you offer?
The VE2DX Electronics IAB3-Dual as;
- DIN8 and DIN13 radio ACC1 connections.
- Sliding door to prevent users from plugging DIN8 and DIN13 cables simultaneously (Note 1).
- Eight separate 3.5mm (1/8th) mono jacks for eight different signals from the radio (Note 2).
- ALL Signals and Grounds on the VE2DX Electronics IAB3-DUAL are RFI-Filtered.
- ALL VE2DX Electronics designed PCBs are always fully shielded on both sides.
Note1 : !!Warning!! Plugging BOTH DIN8 and DIN13 radios in the IAB3-Dual simultaneously WILL damage both radios!
Note 2: Older DIN8 ACC1 connection only offers 6. To get 8VDC and Band Voltage Data signals from DIN8, you MUST use the VE2DX Electronics BIDRECTIONAL ACC ADAPTER (AC1-Male or AC1-Female) to convert both the ACC1 (DIN8) and ACC2 (DIN7) signals from the older radio to a DIN13.
