The VE2DX Electronics Design Band decoders are straightforward, simple, automatic band selection units that monitor CAT information from your radio and, based on YOUR settings, select the proper remote switch for your frequency. They support FLEX, ICOM, Kenwood, Yaesu, etc.
Will it work on my older radio?
Yes, or even your BRAND-NEW radio!!! The VE2DX Electronics Design Band decoders support multiple manufacturers' CAT info from FLEX, ICOM, Kenwood, Yaesu, etc... via their CAT protocols; they can be connected via simple CAT TTL cable, WiFi, USBoBT, etc (Note 1)
What features do you offer?
WOW! Where do I start? The VE2DX Electronics Design Band decoders offer;
1- We offer three different models;
- BD1-BT: single radio/Single switch output. Output can be used for antenna OR bandpass filter selection.
- BD1-BTPlus: Single Radio/Dual switch output. The outputs are designed to switch between distinct antenna and bandpass filter selection simultaneously!
- IBD2-BT: Dual Radio/Dual Output with SDI. Our LINE unit, the VE2DX Electronics Design IBD2-BT, will monitor TWO radios (even if they are from different manufacturers!!!) and manage TWO separate switches (even if they are mismatched!!!). It can be used for your antenna selection or bandpass filters.
2- SDI (Software Defined Interlock!) (IBD2-BT only!): SDI is our Interlock technology; it monitors the two radio frequencies, and IF one radio selects a band already used by the other radio, it prevents the IBD2-BT from selecting that output create an alarm using LED and/or Buzzer and/or BOA.
3- BOA (Blind/Deaf Operator Assistant): BOA is our new technology to help Blind or Deaf operators; if an alarm is triggered or status is requested, BOA will sound or flash information to the user using either a CW sequence of simple letters and numbers or, for operators they don't know, a CW numeric sequence using the alarm led or internal buzzer.
4—TrueTTL: Includes Heafy multilayer shielding of the PCB and enclosure design, RFI filtering of all signals, power sources, and even grounding! Signal processing and automatic leveling to maximum TTL standards.
