A critical protection for any station with two or more antenna switches.
The VE2DX Electronics 2X6 Interlock is installed between your antenna selector or band decoder and the antenna switch(es). It will prevent the identical antennas from being selected by both radios and emit an alarm to the operator.
WHY?
Installed in a station setup using 2X6 antenna switches to share all six antennas with both radios; you want to prevent both radios from accessing the same antenna; if this were to happen, it would cause significant damage to both radios.
Will it work on my older radio?
The VE2DX Electronics 2X6 Interlock is made for any radios from any manufacturer used on a 2X6 Remote antenna switch.
What features do you offer?
The VE2DX Electronics IAB3-Dual as;
- All inputs and grounds are RFI Filtered.
- All VE2DX Electronics PCBs are ALWAYS fully shielded on both sides.
- Designed with twelve relays that work in pairs to prevent the secondary from engaging if the primary is already being used.
- Separate relay with two alarm output contacts to trigger external alarms.
- Designed to be stacked on the VE2DX Electronics 2X6 SO2R remote antenna Switch.
- Can be used with ANY 2X6 or 2X4 remote antenna switch from any manufacturer as long as they use 12VDC to trigger the relays.
Do you make these yourself?

The new VE2DX SO2R 2X6 Interlock PCB will be an option for the VE2DX 2X6 SO2R Remote Antenna Switch OR OTHER 2x6 so2r SWITCHES, it will prevent a radio to select an antenna already in use by the other radio. if the user wants it an added buzzing sound will sound off to prevent damage to the radios, AT NO TIME during this process will the second radio be able to connect to the antenna being used.Finally, the VE2DX 2X6 INTERLOCK will offer 2 separate alarm signals (12VDC) that the user can use to trigger another form of alarm as needed. .
If your are like me you have a pair of 2X6 remote switches facing each other and all you Band Pass Filters (BPF) on the selected outpouts, this automates the application of the BPF in your SO2R setup, well a GREAT application of the INTERLOCK PCB is here to prevent both stations access to the same BPF, such an event in the HEAT of a contest would be unforgiving for the station.
And WHY NOT!
Our INTERLOCK PCB is small enough to fit in most 2X6 remote switch enclosure! thus making it possible to install the INTERLOCK PCB directly in it.
